Five Company Benefits You Have to See To Believe!
A lot of companies offer nice employee benefits, like child care or gym membership, but some companies go above and beyond. The five companies below have some of our favorite unique benefits.
Cliff Bar
It probably won’t surprise you to learn that a company like Cliff Bar has a lot of benefits that help their employees to live a healthy lifestyle. Their new company headquarters has four atriumed gardens, a 40-foot bouldering wall, and a fitness center with a yoga room, dance studio, two massage rooms, shower and locker room facilities, and free access to certified trainers and nutritionists. They also offer benefits and tax breaks for employees who walk, bike, or take public transportation to work, as well as driving a hybrid or biofuel vehicle to work. And that’s only the beginning!
Sweetgreen
Sweetgreen offers every employee a free green t-shirt, and the shirt gets to be a darker shade of green the longer you’ve worked for the company. Once you’ve been there for a year, you get a free pair of green converse. At two years you get an iPod Nano, and at three years you get a Sweetgreen bike. They also give a free salad to one employee during every shift. Yum!
NeatReciepts
NeatReciepts allows every employee to craft their own 40-hour weekly work schedule within a 6:00 am to 10:00 pm time frame. Every employee owns a share of the company, there’s a program to help with home purchases and improvements, and they get free lunch every Friday! Sounds pretty good to us.
Beyond.com, Inc
The kitchen at Beyond.com, Inc is fully stocked with free food, including ice cream and other goodies! They have a game room with air hockey and arcade basketball, and the company pays if five or more employees want to see a movie together. They also have a community Netflix account, and a subscription to Yahoo! radio (which is always set to 80’s rock on Fridays). What a fun place to work!
Toll Brothers
Toll Brothers, a luxury home company, allows its employees to vacation in its ultra-luxe company guest houses at a fraction of the price that the public pays for the same experience. Employees and their family members get discounts when buying Toll Brothers homes, up to 7.5%, and after your 10th, 20th, and 25th anniversaries of working with the company, they’ll pay for you to take a vacation anywhere you want – up to $2,000. Talk about a great vacation price!
